FAQ

DeFi markets is a section of our website that showcases the most profitable DeFi investment opportunities of the week, prepared through our proprietary analysis. We group the markets into categories and display them, starting with those that have lower risk and lower potential returns, gradually moving towards more risky and higher-yielding options. For each market, we provide essential information such as the market’s name, type, APR, Total Value Locked (TVL), and risk rate. This approach allows you to easily compare DeFi options and find the most suitable investment based on your goals and risk tolerance.

To help you quickly identify markets that align with their risk preferences and investment strategies, DeFi investments are grouped into three main categories:

Stablecoin: These markets are built around stablecoins or other low-volatility assets. They offer lower, more consistent returns and are typically seen as lower-risk options, ideal for conservative investors seeking steady yields.

Blue Chip: These markets include well-established cryptocurrencies with large market capitalizations, such as ETH or BTC. They primarily focus on capital preservation while offering moderate returns, making them ideal for investors looking to grow their profits from holding these assets.

High APR: These markets offer significantly higher returns, often involving newer or more volatile tokens. While the potential for gains is much higher, they come with increased risks, making them suitable for investors with a higher risk tolerance who are ready to frequently switch pools to capitalize on the best returns.

Our risk rate is based on three key evaluations:

Market Metrics: We analyze the APR volatility and the TVL of the pool. High APR fluctuations or low liquidity can indicate higher risks.

Protocol Metrics: We consider the protocol’s overall TVL, age, and number of active users. Older, more established protocols with larger TVLs and a strong user base tend to carry lower risks.

Token Metrics: We evaluate the market capitalization of the tokens in the pool and their Certik security score. Tokens with larger market caps and higher Certik scores typically indicate lower risk.

These factors combine to provide a comprehensive risk rating, helping you understand the potential risk before making an investment.

Investing in DeFi markets carries risks that you should be aware of:

Volatility of Deposit: The assets you deposit in DeFi protocols, especially in high APR pools, can experience significant price swings, which can impact your returns or lead to losses.

Volatility of APR: The APR in DeFi markets can fluctuate due to changes in TVL, reward token prices, or overall market conditions, which may result in returns that are lower than expected.

Smart Contract Risk: DeFi platforms are governed by smart contracts, which may contain bugs or vulnerabilities that could be exploited, leading to loss of funds.

Impermanent Loss: In liquidity pools, especially those with volatile tokens, you may experience impermanent loss, where the value of your assets in the pool may decrease compared to holding them outright.

If you come across more profitable DeFi pools, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to share the details with us by submitting the information through our submit form.
